The Los Angeles Rams coaching staff will have plenty of new faces next season as they are in the process of replacing multiple key members who left for promotions with other teams.

The Rams most notably lost pass-game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson, who was hired to be the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive coordinator under head coach Raheem Morris.

The Rams also saw pass game specialist Jake Peetz depart for the rival Seattle Seahawks to be their new pass game coordinator.

It appears the Rams have already found a replacement for Peetz as they hiring former Iowa State offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase to fill the vacant role, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

LA Rams are hiring Iowa State offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase as their Pass Game Specialist. The 33-year-old Scheelhaase, who played QB at Illinois, generated interest from NFL teams in recent years, and he now makes the move to the NFL to work under Sean McVay.

Scheelhaase had been part of the Iowa State coaching staff since 2018, serving as their running backs coach (2018-2022), wide receivers coach (2019-2022), running game coordinator (2021-2022) and offensive coordinator (2023).

Prior to joining Iowa State, Scheelhaase began his coaching career Illinois, where he was the assistant director of football operations & running backs coach (2015) and an offensive assistant (2016-2017).

Scheelhaase did not play in the NFL, but he was the starting quarterback for Illinois from 2010-2013 and holds the school record for career total offensive yards (10,634).

Rams hiring David Ragone as quarterbacks coach

The Rams are making another addition to their coaching staff as they reportedly hired former Falcons offensive coordinator Dave Ragone to be their new quarterbacks coach.

The Rams and Falcons essentially made a coaching swap as Ragone and Robinson have replaced each other.
