The Los Angeles Rams coaching staff has been poached at an incredible rate this offseason after a surprise 2023 campaign that saw L.A. secure a place in the postseason when many believed they could contend for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. The latest Rams coach to find a new home this offseason is former pass game specialist Jake Peetz.

Peetz, 38, has achieved significant success for his age in the coaching world. Beginning his career as a junior college special teams and safeties coach at age 21, he has worked his way up through the ranks, landing positions such as the Oakland Raiders’ quarterback coach in 2017, LSU offensive coordinator in 2021 and finally a job with the Rams in 2022.

He was brought on as an offensive assistant coach before being promoted to pass game specialist in 2023. He finds a home with the Seattle Seahawks and their new coaching staff after one season as a pass game specialist in L.A., according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network:

The Seahawks made a massive change at head coach this offseason by parting ways with legendary signal caller Pete Carroll and hiring former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald. The Seahawks built out their coaching staff with offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and defensive coordinator Aden Durde. Peetz, with his experience in L.A., should bring plenty of knowledge to the Rams’ NFC West rivals.

As for the Rams, that is yet another opening they’ll have to fill this offseason. But that should be of no concern for Sean McVay, who has created superstar coaching staffs year after year regardless of how many get poached to other teams in the offseason.

Rams hire John Streicher in new role

John Streicher is a well-known NFL name for his work with the Tennessee Titans under head coach Mike Vrabel for the last six seasons. In 2018, Streicher was hired by Vrabel as his assistant head coach. He was in that role for two seasons before being promoted to coordinator of football prior to the 2020 season. He was in that role for three seasons, but got the chance to head coach a 2021 preseason game when Vrabel went out due to COVID.

Last year, he was promoted yet again to director of football administration. He spent one season in that role. And on Wednesday, it was reported that the Rams are bringing Streicher in under a new title called coordinator of football strategy.
