The Oakland Raiders may have only won three out of the first eight games of the 2013 NFL season, but hope for the future of the storied franchise has arrived.

During the NFL off-season, the Raiders decided to pull the trigger on a trade to bring in another veteran quarterback with the acquisition of Matt Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks. Initially, the move seemed to be a good idea with Carson Palmer heading to the Arizona Cardinals and Terrelle Pryor still learning the game at the NFL level.

Unfortunately for Flynn, Pryor took full advantage of the playing time given to him during the preseason and never looked back after being given the starting job under center by head coach Dennis Allen. Although things have been rocky for Pryor at times during the regular season with some obvious growing pains, it be hard to argue that he’s not one of the most talented young quarterbacks in the league with a potentially bright future ahead.

With Pryor emerging as a legitimate star in the NFL, here’s a tribute to the Ohio State product and Al Davis’ last contribution to the team who may very well be the future face of the Raiders franchise moving forward:
