Jim Kelly and Andre Reed are one of the most prolific Quarterback-Wide Receiver duos in the history of the NFL, connecting on 75 touchdowns during their 10 years together with the Buffalo Bills.
While Kelly was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002, Reed was finally enshrined in Canton after nine years of being on the ballot. Once he finished his emotional speech, his former QB came on the stage to throw one more pass to his favorite receiver via CBS Sports’ Will Brinson.
The two, along with running back Thurman Thomas were the leaders of the Buffalo Bills teams that made four consecutive Super Bowl trips from 1990-1993.
It was a touching moment that followed a touching speech. Kelly is currently enduring his second well-publicized battle with cancer and received a standing ovation when he came out on to the stage.
Reed is part of an impressive Hall of Fame class that includes Michael Strahan, Ray Guy, Derrick Brooks, Walter Jones, Aeneas Williams, and Claude Humphrey.
