Todd Gurley and the Los Angeles Rams are looking to put Week 1 in the rear view mirror and get in the win column for the first time in 2016. It won’t be easy however, as the Rams host the Seattle Seahawks in their home opener.
That’s not stopping Gurley from being confident in his team as he guaranteed a Rams win this week. Being asked about the Rams having a short week being better for them, Gurley had this to say (H/T Turf Show Times):
“We’re going to get a win this week, for sure. Not really, obviously, you want to have that extra day to prepare, but I just feel like after a loss like that, you’re just so ready to get back at it. We’re definitely ready to play Sunday.”
Gurley and the Rams have had some success in the past against the Seahawks, getting a 23-17 win in Week 16 last year in what was the Seattle’s only loss in their final seven regular season games. Gurley averaged over 4 yards per carry that day and the defense created three turnovers.
The Rams will need a similar performance if they plan on christening the Coliseum with a victory in the Rams’ first regular season home game since 1994. Nonetheless it is good to see Gurley not hanging his head after that Week 1 performance and fans can only hope that the rest of the team is doing the same.
