The Los Angeles Rams have already had an up-and-down season, as they were widely criticized after being shutout in their season opener against the San Francisco 49ers.
They then bounced back to win three straight games, including games over division rivals the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals to put them at 3-1 atop the NFC West.
The Rams did not take advantage of an opportunity to control the division though, as they dropped their next three games against the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and New York Giants before having a bye in Week 8.
The game against the Giants was played in London as the Rams traveled straight from Detroit to London. According to Michael Duarte of NBC LA, Rams running back Todd Gurley and some other players feel the team’s bye came at a perfect time:

The Rams will have to reset their running game coming out of the bye, as Gurley has struggled a bit this season, although it may not have necessarily been his fault as defenses have crowded the box against him and his offensive line has not created many holes for him.
Gurley ranks second to last amongst qualified runners in yards per carry at 3.0 as he has rushed for 403 yards on 134 attempts while scoring three touchdowns. He has found some success in the passing game though as he already has matched his catch total from last season at 21 for 168 receiving yards.
Rams head coach Jeff Fisher recently said that they need to run the football better and that is something they will focus on in the coming weeks.
