Week 14 of the 2017 NFL season featured what was arguably the game of the year so far between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams. Both teams have exceeded expectations as the two squads lead their respective divisions and are beginning to look like legitimate threats to take the NFC.
The Rams, who had a four-point lead at home in the fourth quarter, failed to move the ball down the field late in the game and ultimately lost 43-35. Despite the loss, Los Angeles is still leading the NFC West thanks to a Seattle Seahawks loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to Myles Simmons of Rams, Sean McVay was quick to take responsibility for the loss:

The youngest head coach in the NFL has preached accountability throughout the year and has stuck by it so far. This was a win the Rams easily could have come up, especially with Carson Wentz leaving the game with a leg injury, but could not come up with enough plays at the end.
McVay acknowledged earlier in the week how exciting this matchup was going to be and it did not disappoint. However, the loss means that Los Angeles’ Week 15 matchup against Seattle could end up deciding who takes the NFC West division crown.
