The Los Angeles Rams may not own a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, but they do have eight selections to make between days two and three.
This has been par for the course for the Rams, who have shown no hesitation in trading valuable draft picks in exchange for established talent. Los Angeles has taken an NBA-style approach to roster building as they find their stars and surround them with complementary rotation players who are good at certain things on the field.
So far, their delicate strategy has worked as the Rams have been great at finding contributors late in the draft who are deserving of snaps right away. In fact, head coach Sean McVay said he expects Les Snead and the scouting department to once again find players who can help immediately, via Greg Beacham of the Associated Press:

McVay has every right to feel confident considering every year they seem to find a rookie who ends up being a starter or playing meaningful downs. The coaching staff has also done a great job of developing players over the course of a season, so there is no reason to believe that would not be the case again.
As for what those players may look like, the Rams have a few areas on the roster that could use help or general depth. Los Angeles will likely focus on pass rushers and defensive backs, but the team has also surprised in the past couple of seasons by taking passing options for McVay’s offense. It will surely be interesting to see which direction the Rams go in starting on Friday.
