This offseason hasn’t exactly gone as expected for the Los Angeles Rams as they have lost key members such as Robert Woods, Von Miller and Austin Corbett.
The loss of Woods was by far the most surprising as the L.A. native has thrived playing in his hometown and is known to be one of the most vocal leaders on the team.
He is coming off a torn ACL though, so given the uncertainty surrounding what type of player he will be at 30 years of age returning from a major injury, the Rams decided to go a different direction at receiver.
To this point, the biggest splash the Rams have made this offseason was signing wide receiver Allen Robinson to a three-year, $45 million contract to pair with Cooper Kupp. That is the move that made Woods expendable, and he wound up being traded to the Tennessee Titans for a 2023 sixth-round pick.
Now that the dust has settled and Woods has gotten to process that he will no longer be playing with the Rams, he took to social media to thank the organization, teammates and fans for his five seasons with the team:

Woods, who is known to be one of the most unselfish players in the NFL, will for sure be missed amongst the fanbase and his former teammates. Kupp already took to social media to wish his good friend the best in Tennessee.
While Woods won’t have a chance to defend the Rams’ Super Bowl title, he is going to a situation in Tennessee where he has a chance to compete for a championship in the AFC. According to reports, the Rams worked with Woods to find a destination of his choosing, so it seems that the two sides have parted on good terms, which is always great to see with someone so beloved in the city.
