In 2012, things haven’t changed with both these teams heading into their first of two regular season matchups fighting for the AFC North division crown once again. The Ravens currently lead the way in the division with a 6-2 record while the Steelers continue to climb the ladder riding a three-game win streak heading into Week 10 at 5-3.
Pittsburgh will have a relatively easy matchup ahead of them on Monday Night Football taking on the lowly Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore may also grab another fairly easy win on Sunday against the Darren McFadden-less Oakland Raiders.
Needless to say, both of these division rivals will likely make quick work of their AFC West opponents in Week 10 setting up another epic showdown in Week 11.
One of the biggest concerns for this matchup was the NFL beginning their new flexible scheduling in Week 11. With more than half the season in the books, the league has decided to start changing scheduled times for games that can gain more viewership rather than being stuck in 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. time slot.
This adjustment will put the best possible games in the time slots to draw more viewers. This new scheduling technique works out for both parties as fans get to see the games they want and the networks see boosts in the ratings.
The NFL will continue tweaking the schedule for the rest of the regular season.
