The Los Angeles Rams announced that they have officially waived defensive back Dominique Hatfield, offensive lineman Aaron Neary and linebacker Trevon Young after reaching injury settlements.

All three players were among the final cuts when the Rams announced their 53-man roster, but because they are dealing with injuries, they received some money on their way out the door.

Hatfield appeared in four games for the Rams in 2018, mostly contributing on special teams after originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He is unfortunately still dealing with an ankle issue from last season that has kept him off the field.

Neary was originally signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2016 out of Eastern Washington. After spending time in the Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles organizations, the Rams claimed him off waivers in September on 2017.

He spent the rest of the 2017 season on the Rams’ practice squad before being added to the active roster to start one game at the end of the season when the Rams were resting all of their starters, including center John Sullivan.

The Rams waived Neary in Aug. 2018 and he was claimed by the Cleveland Browns, although they waived him a month later and the Rams brought him back. After spending the entire 2018 season on the practice squad once again, Neary signed a reserve/future contract with the Rams this past February.

He was handed a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and then fractured his ankle during the preseason, so it will be a while before he is on a field again.

Young was a sixth-round draft pick of the Rams in 2018 and spent most of last season going back and forth between the practice squad and active roster.
