Despite a roller-coaster start to the 2020 NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams find themselves in a position to potentially take control of the NFC West in Week 10.

Of course, this will be much easier said than done as they get set to square off against a Seattle Seahawks team that is looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss.

Rams Offense Vs. Seahawks Defense

The Rams offense has struggled to establish a consistent rhythm throughout the first half of the 2020 campaign. This group has had no issues moving the ball, putting up the eighth-most total yards per game (396.4), but with little points to show for it (24.1).

The extra week of rest saw this group welcome back left guard Joseph Noteboom to the roster.

The Seahawks’ defense is coming off a rough outing against the Buffalo Bills and the injuries have started to mount across the board. Of course, this hardly comes as a surprise since they are giving up the most passing yards per game (362.1).

Rams Defense Vs. Seahawks Offense

The bye could not have come at a better time for this Rams defense as they were able to welcome back safety Jordan Fuller and defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson. With the healthiest roster in football, the time has come for this already elite group to kick things up a notch.

They will have their work cut out going against this high-powered Seahawks’ offense led by quarterback Russell Wilson. However, the loss of both Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde leaves a notable void in the backfield.

Regardless, this group still has more than enough firepower to make the Rams pay over the top with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Don’t expect Jalen Ramsey to shadow Metcalf, however, as he will likely be moving all around the field as he normally does.

Keys To Victory

1. Bounce Back For Goff

Quarterback Jared Goff has endured a roller-coaster season up to this point. With the Rams in a position to move atop the division, the onus will fall on him to make it come to fruition.

The high stakes of this game combined with the Seahawks’ porous pass coverage present him with an ideal opportunity to provide a reminder of his status as a franchise cornerstone. Since Seattle’s run defense, is giving up fourth-fewest yards per game (93.6), the outcome may very well be decided by his performance under center.

2. Aaron Donald vs. Russell Wilson

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald has become the bane of Wilson’s existence through the years having sacked him 12 times. Despite the sheer dominance he has displayed against his divisional rival, Donald credited him for ensuring that it was not a much higher number.

Wilson currently leads the NFL with 28 passing touchdowns while Donald is tied with Cleveland Browns defensive end Mules Garrett for the most in the NFL with Myles Garrett (9.0). Regardless of the outcome, the battle between these two titans is sure to fit the billing as usual.
