Nickell Robey-Coleman has established himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL as a part of the Los Angeles Rams defense. It took more work than some to get to where he is today.
Coming out of USC in 2013 and going undrafted, he finally found some footing with the Buffalo Bills.
After a few solid years with the Bills, he returned to Southern California with the Rams and continued to excel. Like many professional athletes, Robey-Coleman did not finish all four years of college, instead opting to go pro after his third collegiate season. Now, six years later, he has graduated from USC.
The team gathered to celebrate Robey-Coleman’s achievement at practice this past week and shared a cool moment, via the Rams official Twitter:
More than football.
Congratulations @slotgod23 on your upcoming graduation from @USC! 🎓✌️ pic.twitter.com/gujG4Q3HWf

Robey-Coleman went on Instagram to thank his friends, family, and the Rams organization for motivating him to pursue his degree. He also noted that graduating fulfilled a promise he made to his mother before her passing in 2010.
During his three years at USC, Robey-Coleman grabbed seven interceptions, three of which were returned for touchdowns. Robey-Coleman will be joined on the defensive end by another former USC player, Clay Matthews.
