Although it seems the NFL season will continue despite the continuing issue of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, there is still one big question surrounding the upcoming season. Nobody knows whether or not the NFL will allow fans to be present during games, although considering other sports are moving forward without fans, at this time, the same can be assumed for the NFL.

For the Los Angeles Rams, this could be a big letdown after the results of an exciting offseason. By the end of this summer, the Rams will finally have their new home in Inglewood, SoFi Stadium, completed.

The stadium should be one of the finest venues constructed in the history of the NFL and sports in general. It will be part of a larger renovation at Hollywood Park that will include a retail center, housing, business centers and a hotel.

Of course, all these amenities may go unused should the NFL decide not to have fans in attendance this year. Despite that, construction has continued on the stadium, including the recent addition of the Rams’ state-of-the-art Oculus video board. John Kay, who films through the use of a helicopter, has documented much of the construction progress on his YouTube channel:

The videos show a variety of construction work being done as cranes continue to load large pieces while workers are painting individual parts of the stadium by hand.

One of the videos focuses on the Oculus video board, which should be one of the main spectacles of the stadium and was installed this past week. The 4k, halo configured board will be able to show pristine replays to fans viewing from any angle in the stadium.

The workers of SoFi Stadium have continued to show up each and every day despite the ongoing risk of the coronavirus. In late March and early April, some workers contracted the virus and were sent home until they recovered.

SoFi Stadium was set to open up this summer with a number of concerts, but those have all been cancelled due to the pandemic. That means that the first official event at the venue will be the Rams’ first home preseason game against the New Orleans Saints in August.
