It has been a fun few days following the Los Angeles Rams exciting triumph in Super Bowl LVI as the team has done its fair share of celebrating.

The Rams assembled a talented roster, foregoing several years of high draft capital in order to obtain players like Matthew Stafford and Von Miller. Those two coupled with the homegrown talents of Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp gave Los Angeles all the firepower it needed to overcome the Cincinnati Bengals.

Prior to Super Bowl LVI, there were rumblings that head coach Sean McVay and Donald would consider retiring if the Rams won the Super Bowl. After the win, both have not given hard commitments about coming back for the 2022 season, but during their parade, McVay egged on Donald, who gave the answer every fan wanted to hear, via L.A. reporter Arash Markazi:

Miller, who is a free agent, enthusiastically also called for Los Angeles to run the team back next year:

Going out on top would make complete sense for most players and coaches, but the Rams are set up well to contend next season. Donald remains squarely in his prime and McVay is young enough to continue coaching for several more years beyond this run, so it would perhaps be best to see how much more winning they can do together.

It is easy to get swept up in the moment and say things one might not necessarily mean, so it will be interesting to see if Donald’s stance changes in the coming months. However, he and the rest of the team should get to enjoy the moment given how hard they worked for it.
