The Los Angeles Rams might finally be finding their footing as they picked up an impressive victory against the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football.

After a rough start to the 2024 season that was marred by injuries, the Rams have started to stabilize as they’ve started a modest two-game winning streak to improve to 3-4 and get back in the NFC West race. Los Angeles had its best offensive game of the season against Minnesota, scoring four touchdowns thanks to Matthew Stafford and the passing game.

Defensively, the young Rams had a great day containing the Vikings offense who came into the matchup as one of the most explosive units in the league. While Justin Jeffeson was tough all afternoon, the defensive line did a good job of getting after Sam Darnold in the second half and preventing them from making a comeback.

Jared Verse was the focal point of the rushing plan and he was mic’d up for the contest, via the team’s official X account:

Verse has become well-known for his high motor and love for trash talk and both are on full display in the video as there are numerous instances of him talking to the Vikings offense. He also seems to be a highly-motivated individual as he starts off the clip saying he wants to be better than anyone that’s ever lived.

Cameras caught Verse chirping at the Minnesota tight ends, who were assigned to block him and later even got into it with center Garrett Bradberry, who told the rookie he talked a lot. At the end of the video, Verse is seen hyping up Byron Young after his game-sealing safety on Darnold and later daps up some of the members of the Minnesota roster and coaching staff.

Verse is quickly coming into his own and looks the part of a premier pass rusher after recording 1.5 sacks against the Vikings. As he continues to get reps, Verse should continue to put up numbers and make a difference for the Rams defense.

Sean McVay becomes winningest coach in Rams history after victory over Vikings

While the win was sorely needed to keep their playoff hopes alive, Los Angeles had another reason to celebrate the day as head coach Sean McVay became the winningest coach in Rams franchise history.
