While Week 12’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints showcased a tale of two teams regarding the Los Angeles Rams, there were some moments of relief surrounding the progression of their 2016 NFL Draft first overall pick, Jared Goff.
Goff enjoyed quite the efficient first half as he was able to connect with a number of receivers in an attempt to keep up with the Saints high-powered offense. For instance, there was this 24-yard strike to Tavon Austin in the first quarter that is worthy of multiple looks, courtesy of NFL:

The catch was only Austin’s third touchdown grab of the 2016-17 NFL season. Austin has struggled to live up to his lucrative four-year, $42 million extension thus far as he has registered only 400 yards on 44 catches.
However, if Austin can continue to build a nice rapport with the rookie quarterback, Rams fans could start to see a payoff in the near future.
