The Los Angeles Rams boasted the best defense in football in 2020 and the biggest reason for that was the play of their two superstars in Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

Donald won his third NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in the last four seasons so it came as no surprise when he was recently named to the 99 club in Madden 22 for the fifth time.

Meanwhile, Ramsey is coming off another All-Pro season of his own. While his numbers weren’t eye-popping, the reason for that is quarterbacks refused to throw his way and the result was him shutting down just about every top receiver he went up against.

Coming off his best NFL season, Ramsey is now joining Donald in the 99 club for the first time in his career. Madden NFL 22 posted a video surprising Ramsey with the news, to which he responded that Donald should be a 105 if he’s a 99:

With Ramsey and Donald leading the way, the Rams should once again boast one of the best defenses in the NFL in 2021. They also were able to keep Leonard Floyd, giving them another elite pass rusher to get to quarterbacks.

As things currently stand, the only members of the Madden 99 club are Ramsey, Donald, Davante Adams and Travis Kelce. The game is announcing ratings by position though, so there likely will be more players joining the club in the coming days.
