Rams Video: Free-Agent Michael Brockers Gives Heartfelt Thank You To Organization, Fans

The Los Angeles Rams offseason is already off to an interesting start as they have made a number of changes to their coaching staff.

More movement on the player side is expected to come as well considering the team has a number of key free agents and will not be able to keep them all. Michael Brockers, the longest-tenured player on the team, is one of those key players entering free agency.

Although most fans are wondering what Brockers will do, he has yet to give a clear indication. He released a sincere thank you to Rams fans and the organization, via Uninterrupted, but did not say whether he was staying or leaving:

While Brockers does not indicate what is next for him, the video does seem to have a sense of finality to it. The Rams certainly have some tough decisions ahead of them in regards to Brockers, but perhaps his and the organization’s minds are already made up.

Brockers has been a consistent fixture on the Rams defensive line for the last eight years. He totaled 23 sacks in that time, including three this past season. Of course the Rams will still have Aaron Donald to star on that defensive line, but Brockers has been a key piece to the Rams defensive success.

The Rams will also have to decide on how to handle fellow defensive free agents Dante Fowler Jr., Cory Littleton, Bryce Hager and Marqui Christian, as well as Eric Weddle and Nickell Robey-Coleman, who have team options. Every player seems like a key part of the Rams defensive identity and losing just one would be tough, although it is certainly going to happen.

One thing for sure is that the Rams were lucky to enjoy Brockers’ services for the last eight seasons. His love for the fans is surely returned and he will likely have a following of Rams fans no matter where he goes in free agency.
