The Los Angeles Rams have unveiled a new set of uniforms as they prepare to welcome fans to SoFi Stadium for the 2021 NFL season.

The design pays homage to the L.A. Rams of old prior to their departure to St. Louis. The throwback white was given a modern-day look as the franchise prepares to officially usher in a new era in team history.

The Rams plan on wearing the set three times this season starting with the opener on Sept. 12 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. It is safe to say that players and alumni are counting down the days until they see them in action.

The new uniforms were met with overwhelming approval from the likes of wide receiver Robert Woods, defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Rams legends Eric Dickerson and Torry Holt.

The support is a drastic change from last offseason when they revealed the “bone” white uniforms that were met with plenty of criticism. Fortunately, it is clear that the team was not done showing off some of the new changes.

The Rams had established a rich history in L.A. that featured Hall of Famers like Dickerson, Jack Youngblood and Marshall Faulk sport the former iteration of these uniforms. The team has made efforts to provide that sense of nostalgia for long-time fans that supported the team even when they were gone.

Aside from the season-opener, L.A will also wear them on primetime versus the Tennessee Titans in Week 9 on Sunday Night Football and the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10 on Monday Night Football. If they play well in them, it will be interesting to see if they eventually make it the usual threads in the years to come.

The new jerseys are already available for purchase on both the team’s website and The Equipment Room at SoFi Stadium, which is open from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. PT.
