The Los Angeles Rams brought in some potential depth along the defensive line by taking Bobby Brown III in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. It is safe to say that the rookie finds himself in an ideal position to learn from the best in the business alongside pensive tackle Aaron Donald.

Brown made his admiration for Donald no secret upon getting drafted. This comes as no surprise considering the three-time Defensive Player of the Year has been dominating the league for quite some time now.

The time finally came for Brown to meet his idol in the flesh at the team’s first session of OTA’s. Fortunately, the moment with Donald was caught on cameras, via the team’s official Twitter:

Brown took to social media to admit that he was a bit overwhelmed upon meeting Donald for the first time:

Brown’s reaction goes to show just how far many of these players have come in making their dreams come to fruition. It was not too long ago that the rookie was watching Donald dominate in person and now he has an opportunity to see firsthand all the work that is put in behind the scenes.

Every defensive lineman in the league is studying tape on what has made the Rams’ star so successful since entering the league in 2014. However, Brown will have the benefit of getting to witness it in person and emulate to help improve his own game.

The video also puts in perspective just how large the rookie is already coming into the league. While Brown has acknowledged the differences in his playstyle compared to Donald’s, there is no question that learning behind him will help pay some major dividends for his development.

It will be interesting to see Brown’s fandom start to develop into a working relationship with Donald.
