In just his second year with the Los Angeles Rams, Jordan Fuller was named one of the team’s captains for the 2021 season due to his play and leadership.

As a rookie, Fuller was able to step into one of the starting safety spots and the defense flourished with him on the backline. His sophomore season was no different as the Ohio State product was the Rams’ leading tackler with 113, constantly finding himself in the right spots to make a play.

However, his season was cut short after suffering an ankle injury in Week 18 against the San Francisco 49ers that ultimately required surgery. Fuller was forced to watch from the sidelines as his teammates marched through the playoffs en route to winning Super Bowl LVI.

For Fuller, his rehab process was a trying time and the Rams gave fans behind the scenes look at the safety’s journey to get back on the field, via their YouTube channel:

The mental and physical grind of rehab is something most athletes are familiar with and in the video Fuller does a good job of keeping his head high as he works his way back to full health. There are several shots of him working out at the Rams training facility, but fans are also treated to a glimpse of his home where he is seen relaxing and playing video games with friends.

There are also several emotional segments throughout the video, such as Fuller talking about feeling forgotten in the wake of the team’s Super Bowl win. People watching can tell it hurt him to have to watch from the sidelines, but teammates like Nick Scott made sure to make him feel included on the journey they took to get to that point.

Fuller is expected to be a full-go once the 2022 season starts and Los Angeles will surely need one of its team captains back if they hope to repeat the success they had this past year.
