Rams Video: Aaron Donald Makes Case To Be Goal-Line Weapon For Offense In 2020

Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald may have six Pro Bowls, five All-Pros and two NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards to his name in six NFL seasons, but he is never satisfied.

Donald recently announced his new YouTube channel, which he will use to post videos of himself and his teammates working out in preparation for the 2020 season.

The 29-year-old is known to be one of the hardest workers in the league, and that has not changed this offseason even with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic limiting some players’ abilities to get in the gym.

While Donald is poised for another big season on defense with new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley hoping to take some pressure off him, it appears the defensive tackle is trying to further expand his game.

Donald took to Instagram to post a video hanging out with his family by the pool on Father’s Day hoping it will serve as his audition tape to get some touches near the goal line on offense:

Donald has proven to be one of the best athletes in the NFL, so if the Rams actually wanted to utilize him on offense as a goal-line tight end or fullback, he likely would be able to have a lot of success.

There are some injury risks that come with that though, so it is unlikely that fans see Donald on the offensive side of the ball at any point in 2020 or beyond. They could potentially draw up a trick play to surprise a team while also keeping their star player happy though, so that will be something to look out for throughout the course of the year.
