Aside from being the NFL’s most dominant player, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald has also become one of its most marketable.
The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year is padding the resume on his future as a first-ballot Hall of Famer. More importantly, he has embraced the challenge of this team living up to its Super Bowl expectations in the 2021 NFL season.
Of course, playing in a city like L.A. does come with its fair share of perks off the field. Donald recently appeared in a commercial for Rocket Mortgage that featured an interesting, hypothetical upgrade for the seven-time Pro Bowler:
Although the season just got started, it has been an eventful one for Donald. He recently became the franchise’s all-time sack leader with his performance in the win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Donald has registered 3.0 sacks and 20 tackles through the first five games of the season. However, it is the middle of the season where he usually starts to find his rhythm in getting to quarterbacks.
Regardless, the 30-year-old remains the focal point of a defense that underwent some changes this offseason with the arrival of new coordinator Raheem Morris. His presence up front has helped serve as a stabilizing factor for the rest of the group as they continue to find their footing under Morris.
The Rams have a favorable three-game stretch coming up as they prepare to take on struggling teams like the New York Giants, Detroit Lions and Houston Texans. Regardless, they must not overlook any of them if they hope to avoid any missteps while continuing to develop into bona fide contenders down the road.
Fortunately, L.A. can take solace in the fact that they have players of Donald and cornerback Jalen Ramsey’s caliber leading the way for them defensively.
