For the Los Angeles Rams, building a roster stands and ends with their stars as they have been unafraid to hand out lucrative deals to their core players.

The Rams struck twice in the past week after agreeing to rich new contracts with Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp, ensuring two of their pillars retire in Los Angeles. However, with so much money dedicated to a few players, the Rams have more pressure to nail on their draft picks that often come on Day 3.

Fortunately, L.A.’s scouting department has done an excellent job identifying talent in the later rounds as they have managed to find several prospects who have been able to contribute right away. In the 2022 NFL Draft, Los Angeles made eight selections (Logan Bruss, Decobie Durant, Kyren Williams, Quentin Lake, Derion Kendrick, Daniel Hardy, Russ Yeast, AJ Arcuri) and the team announced that all eight of their rookies had signed their deals.

There was never much concern about the new rookie class agreeing to deals, but the Rams did make things more special when they surprised them with messages from their loved ones:

Getting drafted is a moment that players will never forget, and for this class, fans can tell how much it meant for the organization to get their families involved after their signing. There are only so many spots on an NFL roster, so to sign pen to paper and secure your position on a team is a major accomplishment and it was fun to see the players react to the messages.

All eight rookies will now have to compete during training camp to prove their worth, but if they are like previous classes then the Rams should expect to find some gems in the coming months.
