The NFL trade deadline in on Tuesday and unlike past years, the Los Angeles Rams have been relatively quiet.
Sean McVay was asked about this on Monday and was up front that he didn’t expect any major moves from the Rams.
“No, there hasn’t been anything that we’ve really talked about,” McVay said. “Nothing of that nature.”
McVay did add, however, that veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White, who has been on the trade block for weeks after struggling to begin the year, would likely be dealt.
“‘Tre’ is a guy that I know there has been some dialogue between Les, [Team President] Kevin [Demoff] and his agent, so we’ll see if anything ends up coming to fruition… There’s a possibility. [General Manager] Les [Snead] has had some dialogues with some teams. Those are very fluid conversations so there is a possibility, but nothing is imminent as of right now.”
It turns out McVay was right as the Rams have reached a deal to send White to the Baltimore Ravens, per Adam Schefter of ESPN:
Trade: Rams are sending CB Tre'Davious White and a 2027 7th-round pick to the Ravens for a 2026 7th-round pick, per sources.

This is as low of a compensation as it gets in trades, although it doesn’t come as a surprise considering White in on a one-year deal and hasn’t been playing.
After starting the first four games of the season for the Rams, White has been inactive for the last four. That coincided with the Rams getting back their top corner Darious Williams, who has played extremely well opposite Coby Durant in L.A.’s defensive backfield.
White obviously didn’t want to continue riding the bench so the Rams worked with him and his agent to find a trade that worked. Less than an hour before the deadline, they were able to send White to Baltimore, where he will likely get a chance to play right away given all of the injuries in their secondary.
Outside of White though, the Rams are not expected to deal away any pieces, focused on getting back in the playoff mix after winning straight games to get to 4-4 on the season.
Sean McVay reflects on Rams trading Ernest Jones
Another trade the Rams made before the season was sending linebacker Ernest Jones to the Tennessee Titans. He has since been dealt again to the Seattle Seahawks, and ahead of last weekend’s game, Sean McVay reflected on if it was a good move for the Rams.
