The Los Angeles Rams announced ahead of Sunday’s Week 11 matchup with the Chicago Bears that they signed wide receiver Nsimba Webster from their practice squad and waived running back John Kelly.

The addition of a wide receiver is not surprising considering Brandin Cooks is set to miss his second game with a concussion and there currently is no timetable for him to return.

Webster is an undrafted rookie who the Rams signed out of Eastern Washington. After an impressive preseason, he made the team’s 53-man roster out of training camp. He has since bounced back and forth between the active roster and practice squad multiple times but has not seen any game action.

Similar to Webster, Kelly has bounced back and forth between the active roster and practice squad a couple of times this season. He was selected by the Rams in the sixth round in 2018 out of Tennessee but doesn’t have any career carries.

Los Angeles’ offense is coming off one of its worst performances of the season as their offensive line is banged up and was unable to protect Jared Goff in the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Things don’t get any easier with the Bears defense coming to town, so the Rams will have their work cut out for them if they want to stay in the NFC playoff picture.
