Making headlines has become somewhat of a normal occurrence for the Los Angeles Rams since coming to town prior to the 2016 NFL season. This year has been no different after a massive overhaul with both the coaching staff and personnel.
Now, there are rumors swirling of a change in the front office as well. According to Chad Forbes of NFL Draft Bites, Rams owner Stan Kroenke may be interested in offering Peyton Manning an “Elway-type” role in Los Angeles:

While the news seems a bit out of left field, John Elway’s success with the Denver Broncos may have sparked a trend of great players becoming front office executives. Another example is John Lynch, who became general manager of the San Francisco 49ers this offseason.
Despite being the most prolific passer in NFL history, Manning was also one of its greatest minds and was well-known for his intense study and preparation. Not to mention his presence around the team would allow Jared Goff to pick the brain of one of the best to ever play. However, it remains unknown on how well-versed Manning is with personnel management.
It should be noted that cornerback Kayvon Webster recently posted a Snapchat showing Manning at Rams headquarters. He also went to dinner with head coach Sean McVay along with Webster, Andrew Whitworth, and Robert Woods. Although there has been no official word on the nature of this get-together, it is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
