The Los Angeles Rams coaching staff under head coach Sean McVay will look vastly different next season due to several assistants leaving the organization for promotions elsewhere or because their contracts weren’t renewed.
Among the most notable departures is former offensive coordinator Liam Coen, who went back to the University of Kentucky in the same role. He was replaced by former New York Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur.
Former Buffalo Bills assistant offensive line coach Ryan Wendell also replaced Kevin Carberry as the Rams’ new offensive line coach, Zak Kromer was promoted to assistant offensive line coach and Nick Caley will coach the tight ends position.
According to Jonathan Jones of NFL on CBS, the Rams are now set to lose senior offensive assistant Greg Olson, who will be hired by the Seattle Seahawks as their next quarterbacks coach:

The Seahawks were in need of a new quarterbacks coach after Dave Canales left the organization to become the Tampa Bay Buccaneers new offensive coordinator.
Former Rams assistant head coach/tight ends coach Thomas Brown was also in the running for the position before being hired by the Carolina Panthers.
Olson rejoined the Rams last year after spending the previous four seasons as the Las Vegas Raiders’ offensive coordinator. He served as L.A.’s quarterbacks coach in 2017, and before that, was the team’s offensive coordinator during the 2006-07 seasons when they played in St. Louis.
It is unclear if the Rams will look to replace Olson as they already have several offensive assistants on the coaching staff. L.A. did recently hire former University of Washington head coach Jimmy Lake, but his role has not yet been determined.
Rams coaching staff additions
In addition to the aforementioned names, the Rams also brought back a familiar face in Aubrey Pleasant, who is returning as the defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator.
In terms of subtractions, the Rams coaching staff has additionally lost Joe DeCamillis, Jonathan Cooley, Skyler Jones, Lance Schulters and Thad Bogardus.
