The Los Angeles Rams’ roster is going to look a lot different in 2020 after the departure of a number of key players.

Most of those departures are coming on the defensive side of the ball as Eric Weddle, Cory Littleton, Dante Fowler Jr., Clay Matthews, Nickell Robey-Coleman and Michael Brockers all will not be back.

The biggest departure may be coming on offense though as the organization made the tough decision of releasing star running back Todd Gurley to free up some extra cap space.

While the Rams have made a few under-the-radar signings to replace some of their lost players, the losses continue as Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that defensive back Marqui Christian will be signing with the New York Jets:

Christian was originally a fifth-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals in 2016 out of Midwestern State. All four of his NFL seasons have come with the Rams though after they claimed him off waivers early in his rookie season.

In 55 career games with the Rams, Christian has recorded 83 total tackles and three passes defensed. Most of his impact has come on special teams, although he had seen increased time on defense the last two seasons as a backup defensive back.

He leaves yet another void that the Rams will have to find a replacement for this offseason. They are set at the safety position with two young starters in John Johnson III and Taylor Rapp, but could use some depth behind them.
