In Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season, Marcus Peters intercepted Derek Carr late in the fourth quarter to seal a 33-13 win for the Los Angeles Rams.

As Peters reached the end zone, he leaped backward and grabbed his crotch. While it was initially unclear if the 25-year-old was mocking Marshawn Lynch or the Raiders, he revealed after the game he was paying tribute to him.

With Lynch getting fined for his touchdown celebration throughout his career, Peters will reportedly be fined $13,000, according to Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports:

With both players from Oakland, there is a mutual respect between them. As most remember, Lynch ran onto the field after Peters hit Derek Carr, which led to a scuffle between the Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs during the 2017 season. Lynch was shortly ejected for pushing a ref.

For Peters, it was quite the homecoming and debut for his new team regardless of the fine. During the offseason, the Rams traded a 2018 fourth round draft pick and a 2019 second draft pick to the Chiefs for him and a 2018 sixth round draft pick.

As Peters prepares for his home opener against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, Los Angeles fans would love to see another pick-six and touchdown celebration from him.
