After firing head coach Jeff Fisher midseason, Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead was put in an unenviable position, as his future with the franchise would be decided after a new head coach was put in place.
However, according to Vincent Bonsignore of Los Angeles Daily News, after the team hired Washington Redskins offensive coordinator Sean McVay, Snead appears to be staying:

Along with hiring McVay, the team has also been looking to add former Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator, Anthony Lynn. Both would make potent additions to McVay’s coaching staff, as the 30-year-old will be sure to need experience on the sidelines in his first stint as an NFL head coach.
Back in December, Rams COO Kevin Demoff would not confirm whether or not the team would retain Snead after firing Fisher, stating the whole organization would be under review. However, on the heels of McVay’s hiring and the potential pool of candidates to fill out his staff, Snead will continue his role with the Rams for the foreseeable future.
Snead has been with the Rams since 2012 and has been known to be aggressive when trading picks, swapping out the second overall pick in 2012 for multiple selections, as well as moving up last year to select Jared Goff with the first overall pick. While Snead deserves some credit for selecting Aaron Donald and Todd Gurley, the jury’s still out on Goff.
