It goes without saying that the Los Angeles Rams have set the bar high following their 2017 NFL season. They followed up their spectacular year by adding some major talent to the roster in the form of All-Pro cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.

They have also been pegged as the frontrunners to land the services of former All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, they have now reportedly gotten into the mix to trade for New York Giants superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.:

The L.A. Rams, according to multiple NFL sources, already have talked with the Giants about possibly trading for the dynamic wide receiver and turning him from a Big Apple phenom into a Hollywood star.

Beckham Jr. has been vocal about wanting a new lucrative deal for some time now. He solidified that notion by proclaiming that he will not step onto the field until he has a new contract. As a result, it seems the Giants would rather part ways with the All-Pro wideout rather than making him one of the highest-paid players in the league.

Needless to say, a number have teams have wasted no time in contacting New York about a potential trade — including Los Angeles. The Rams have been successful in their efforts to haul in the big fish this offseason and it has continued with their pursuit of Suh. However, it may seem like a bit of a stretch at this point given the team’s tight pockets and Beckham Jr.’s desire for a monster deal.

Los Angeles is already in the process of making All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald the highest-paid defensive player in the league.Taking on two more lucrative deals would likely be a detriment to Donald’s pay for the upcoming season. That said, it will be interesting to see how the Rams approach signing the bevy of superstars on their radar.
