Despite their early offseason success by bringing in talented cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib while also keeping Nickell Robey-Coleman and Lamarcus Joyner, the Los Angeles Rams still have plenty of work to do in retooling their roster ahead of the 2018 NFL season. The Rams have been aggressive thus far in revamping their secondary, but there are still some holes to fill on the team.
One of those holes concerns the wide receiver position as Sammy Watkins agreed to a three-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs early in free agency. While the offense can seemingly survive on paper without a player like Watkins on the outside stretching the defense, the team will still need an extra receiver either to start or for depth purposes.
It appears that the Rams could have a player in mind because according to Benjamin Allbright of Mile High Sports Radio, Los Angeles may be eyeing Ryan Grant:

Grant, who had previously agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens before apparently failing his physical, is a decent option for Los Angeles given he will not cost nearly as much as Watkins did and would potentially provide another nice underneath option for Jared Goff.
While a player like Grant makes sense for the Rams, the team could also simply fill the gap at receiver from within with someone like Josh Reynolds or draft one in the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft. Whichever direction the front office chooses to go, the Rams are still in good shape and look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
