In the weeks that have followed his release from the Miami Dolphins, All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has gone through his due diligence through the free agency process. He has met with a handful of teams to see where he would fit best for this next chapter of his career.
Among those shortlist of teams vying for the services of the 31-year-old has been the Los Angeles Rams. According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Rams appear to be hedging forward as the frontrunners to land Suh as he nears his decision:
From @GMFB, on the Ndamukong Suh free agency: The #Rams appear to be the front-runner for his services. Suh hasn’t ruled the #Titans or #Saints out, and those close to him say he’s still open-minded. But Los Angeles has emerged as the team to beat in his protracted saga.

Los Angeles had begun to gain steam as the landing spot for Suh after the team met with him last Tuesday in what is being described as being a sitdown that went quite well. There is a clear fit for him to step in and be a major part of their promising defense in what looks to be a team on the rise after their first playoff appearance in well over a decade.
Suh has the opportunity in front of him to form arguably the best duo of defensive tackles in the league alongside reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald. This could help push the Rams to the next level as being a legitimate Super Bowl contender next season and possibly beyond that.
Although his production took a notable drop this past season, he is still highly regarded as being a game-changing player at his position that could be further heightened pairing up with Donald and Michael Brockers on the Rams’ defensive line. Suh may not have made his decision, but the fact that Los Angeles has worked its way up to being the favorite is certainly an encouraging sign for the team’s chances of landing him in free agency. At this point, all the Rams can do is simply wait and see if Suh does choose to join the mix.
