One of the more surprising casualties of the Los Angeles Rams’ round of cuts to get down to the 53 man roster limit was veteran defensive lineman Cam Thomas.
As one of the more experienced players along the D-Line, many expected Thomas to fit in and provide the Rams with some depth as their line is their biggest strength. Thankfully for Thomas, the disappointment of being released won’t last long.
Thomas’ agent David Canter announced on Twitter that he is set to re-sign with the Rams:
Congratulations to #TeamDEC client @Zilla9396 Cam Thomas who will resign with the @RamsNFL tomorrow!

A six-year NFL veteran, Thomas can bring a lot to the Rams. There is no doubt that with the likes Aaron Donald and Robert Quinn, the Rams’ defensive line will be stellar, but depth is always necessary and having someone like Thomas around makes a ton of sense.
With only a week remaining before the season opener, the Rams don’t have much time left to get everything together. By adding Thomas the Rams have given themselves a little more leeway before they head to San Francisco to start their first season back in Los Angeles.
