The strongest unit on the Los Angeles Rams roster is the defensive line and when most talk about it, the first people who come to mind are Robert Quinn and Aaron Donald. This has allowed fellow first-round pick Michael Brockers to fly under the radar.

The Rams themselves, however, know how important he is to their success and this is why they have reportedly agreed to an extension with Brockers according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch:

The details of the extension have not yet been reported but ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports that it is a three-year extension:

Brockers’ numbers don’t jump off the page like Donald or Quinn’s, but he is just as important to the success of the Rams defensive line. In his first four seasons Brockers totaled 109 tackles and 14.5 sacks and he had two tackles in last night’s loss to the 49ers.

The Rams know their strength is up front and they are making the moves to ensure their defensive line stays intact and that is smart thing to do.
