It appears Los Angeles Rams running back Benny Cunningham will remain with the team for at least one more season.

The Rams will obviously be leaning on Todd Gurley as the primary ball-carrier, but every team must have a capable back-up and Cunningham appears to be that guy for the Rams as he posted to his personal Snapchat account that he has re-signed with the team:

The Rams originally signed Cunningham as an un-drafted free agent out of Middle Tennessee State in 2013.

In three seasons with the team he has carried the ball 150 times for 647 yards and four touchdowns to go along with 661 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.

His most productive season was his rookie season in 2013 when he had 261 yards on 47 attempts, averaging 5.6 yards per carry and scoring one touchdown.

With fellow running back Tre Mason’s future with the team unclear as he was recently arrested in Florida, Cunningham figures to be the primary backup to Gurley heading into training camp, depending on what Los Angeles decides to do in the upcoming draft. With Gurley developing into one of the best backs in the league at just 21-years-old, it does not seem likely that the Rams draft another back this year.
