Although the Los Angeles Rams have largely remained healthy so far during the 2016-17 NFL season, the same cannot be said for their rookie draft class. Just a week after the Rams declared undrafted rookie wide receiver Nelson Spruce out for the season, it appears they have lost yet another fellow rookie for the season.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL, Josh Forrest is expected to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL against the Miami Dolphins in Week 10:

The former Kentucky product injured his knee during the second quarter while chasing down Ryan Tannehill near the sideline. With Forrest’s season reportedly coming to an end, he was the 190th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. The rookie had seen some playing time as a member of the special teams as well as the team’s third linebacker when Los Angeles abandoned their nickel set.

Forrest recorded nine combined tackles as well as a fumble recovery and a pass deflection. Los Angeles has since promoted linebacker Nic Grigsby from the practice squad to fill in for Forrest on special teams. The rookie will undergo an MRI this upcoming week to confirm the report.
