Los Angeles Rams head coach Jeff Fisher is not the most beloved man amongst fans of the team right now. After four straight seasons of being under .500 and the team’s embarrassing showing on Monday night, some believe Fisher’s days are numbered.

That being said, there had been rumors that Fisher (and GM Les Snead) were nearing extensions, but no official announcements were ever made. But maybe there could be one soon.

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that Fisher has a three year extension offer from the Rams, though Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole hasn’t heard any confirmation:

None of this has been confirmed as of yet, but rumors of a possible Fisher extension won’t sit well with many fans. Unfortunately for Fisher, he just hasn’t won enough.

It is still early in the season and Fisher can certainly turn things around for the Rams, and he will have to do that in order to have earned any contract extension in the eyes of many. The Rams haven’t necessarily been awful during Fisher’s tenure, having never won less than six games, but he was supposed to be the guy to take them over the hump and he hasn’t done so.

Again, nothing is for certain yet, but this will definitely be something to watch.
