Since winning the Super Bowl nearly two weeks ago, the Los Angeles Rams’ coaching staff has undergone several changes. Former offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell left the franchise to become the Minnesota Vikings’ new head coach, and he has since brought passing game coordinator and tight ends coach Wes Phillips with him.
On the defensive side, the Rams lost secondary/pass game coordinator Ejiro Evero, who was named the Denver Broncos’ new defensive coordinator. Furthermore, the Broncos hired Dwayne Stukes as their new special teams coordinator and Marcus Dixon as their new defensive line coach.
The Rams have begun reshaping their coaching staff as they are expected to hire Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator. Jake Peetz and Greg Olson will also reportedly join head coach Sean McVay’s offensive staff.
With several vacancies to fill on defense, the Rams are said to be closing in on hiring Jeremy Springer to be their new assistant special teams coach. L.A. will eventually bring in replacements for Evero and Dixon as well.
Meanwhile, the Rams reportedly have signed defensive coordinator Eric Henderson to a contract extension, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic:
The Rams have extended DL coach Eric Henderson, multiple sources said. Henderson, who is widely regarded among the top coaches at his position in the NFL, was in a contract year. Huge for the Rams to retain him as a player developer but also a big part of their pass-rush design.

Henderson was in the final year of his contract and is considered one of the top coaches at his position. His new deal will keep him in L.A. for the foreseeable future, where he will continue overseeing one of the best defensive lines in the NFL that features Aaron Donald, Leonard Floyd and Greg Gaines, among others.
Henderson also added run game responsibilities this past season, which was another area the Rams thrived in as they posted an NFL-best 35% run stop win rate.
