Rams Rumors: Cooper Kupp Dealing With Minor Ankle Sprain
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The start of the 2020 NFL season is just around the corner as the Los Angeles Rams have completed training camp and are now preparing for their Week 1 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 13.

The game will be on Sunday Night Football and will mark the opening of the Rams’ brand-new SoFi Stadium.

Until then though, the Rams will continue preparing while hoping to keep their key players healthy. Without the luxury of a preseason this year, the Rams have held a pair of scrimmages at SoFi Stadium so they can get their starters some work and also get a look at the young players trying to make the roster.

During their last scrimmage of Saturday afternoon, Rams star wide receiver left early. That left people speculating about an injury, although Rams head coach Sean McVay said after the scrimmage that is not the case, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

It appears McVay may have jumped the gun though as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network is reporting that Kupp is dealing with a minor ankle sprain that is not believed to be serious:

Kupp is expected to be a focal point of the Rams’ offense in 2020, so it is obviously not ideal that he is already dealing with an injury, even if it is just a minor one.

The Rams will likely be cautious with the wide receiver in practice to ensure that he is ready for Week 1.
