The NFL free agency tampering period is underway, and the Los Angeles Rams have a lot of work to do if they want to run back the squad that won the Super Bowl this past season.
The Rams got off to a good start on Monday morning, re-signing Joseph Noteboom, who should take over at left tackle if Andrew Whitworth retires.
Now, L.A. has a number of other players they’d like to re-sign as well with Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. being among them.
It appears their focus is still on the offensive line though as according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, they are re-signing center Brian Allen to a three-year contract:
Brian Allen returning to the Rams on a three-year, $24 million deal, per source.

The Rams’ offensive line was among the best in football in 2021, so keeping as much of that group in tact as possible is a good idea.
With Noteboom and Allen returning, joining starters David Edwards and Rob Havenstein that will be back, the Rams only have one more guard spot to address. Last year’s starter Austin Corbett is also a free agent and could land a more lucrative deal elsewhere after the Rams prioritized Noteboom and Allen.
Regardless though, the Rams are in a very good position on the offensive side of the ball going into the 2022 season.
If a couple of other contracts are restructured, the Rams still should have some money left to spend to address other positions.
