It’s already been a busy offseason for the Los Angeles Rams as they have wasted no time addressing the holes on their roster.

In addition to re-signing tight end Tyler Higbee, the Rams also pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Kansas City Chiefs for cornerback Trent McDuffie.

It’s no secret that the Rams’ secondary struggled to close out the 2025 season, and the addition of McDuffie should help fix that.

L.A. wasn’t done adding to their secondary, however, as they are re-signing safety Kam Curl to a three-year contract, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:

The #Rams and star S Kam Curl have agreed to terms on a new deal to keep him in Los Angeles before free agency, per The Insiders.

Curl then took to social media to react to the news that he is staying with the Rams for three more years:

The Rams originally signed Curl to a two-year contract as a free agent in 2024, and he turned in two stellar seasons with the team to earn this new deal.

In 2025, Curl played all 17 games for the Rams and finished with 122 total tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, five passes defensed and one forced fumble. In many ways, he was the key to the Rams’ defense due to his versatility and ability to play all over the field.

With Curl now back in the fold, he joins a safety group that is one of the best in the league with Kam Kinchens and Quentin Lake also under contract. The Rams will likely keep adding to the secondary in free agency or the draft, but they are already off to an exceptional start with Curl and McDuffie.

Kam Curl wanted to re-sign with Rams

Going into the offseason, Kam Curl made it clear that re-signing with the Rams was his priority, and now he gets his wish.

“I would love to be back here,” Curl said. “This is a great organization, a winning organization. I would love to be back for sure.”

The Rams clearly view their Super Bowl window as right now and bringing a key player like Curl back will only help them try to achieve that goal.
