The Los Angeles Rams are well-positioned to compete for Super Bowls for the foreseeable future after the front office locked up their stars to lucrative deals.

Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald got extensions that will likely keep them in Los Angeles until the end of their careers, while Cooper Kupp got a deal that is reflective of his status as one of the most elite receivers in the NFL today. Kupp capped off his historic 2021 season with a playoff run that culminated in a Super Bowl LVI MVP award, and there is no reason why he can’t have another successful campaign in 2022.

Kupp’s always been regarded as one of the most underrated receivers in the league, but that should no longer be the case after the year he put together. In fact, fellow star receiver Justin Jefferson made sure to include him in his top-5 receiver list, via Bleacher Report:

Davante Adams at No. 1 isn’t much of a surprise as the new Las Vegas Raiders star is widely considered to be the most complete receiver in the game. However, fans might quibble with Jefferson putting himself at No. 2 considering he has yet to make the same kind of impact someone like Kupp has made. Jefferson had Kupp tied at No. 3 with young phenom Ja’Marr Chase and rounded out his list with Stefon Diggs.

There’s no doubting Jefferson’s talent as he looks like he’s on the verge of superstardom, but what Kupp did last season was unprecedented and should be given more respect than No. 3 on his list. However, Kupp will be the first person to tell someone that rankings don’t matter and that he’s solely focused on winning.
