The Los Angeles Rams not only had a good draft because they addressed several needs, but they managed to reunite with Troy Hill.
Hill left the Rams for the Cleveland Browns during the last free agency period, but now finds himself back in the team where he will immediately start alongside Jalen Ramsey. Hill had his best season in the NFL with Los Angeles, leading the league in defensive touchdowns in 2020.
Even though the defensive back was happy during his short stint with the Browns, Hill admitted he missed the Rams and living in L.A., via Greg Beacham of the Associated Press:
Troy Hill is back in the Rams' building on this Monday morning. He says he learned a lot in Cleveland, but he missed LA's culture and amenities: "I was excited to come back here and get some of this sunshine, you know what I mean?" pic.twitter.com/W97rbAuLMM

In order to acquire Hill, the Rams sent out a fifth-round pick and while that was a good deal for them, it seemed to light a fire under the cornerback:
Troy Hill: "I was already motivated, but just me getting traded, especially for a 5th-round pick, I feel some type of way. I feel disrespected. I'm definitely motivated to show what I can do & prove people wrong. I'm definitely coming out & playing with a chip on my shoulder."

Hill has every right to feel slighted, and it seemed clear the Browns were going to move on from him after they selected Martin Emerson in the third round. Fortunately, their loss is the Rams’ gain as they needed to shore up the opposite corner spot after they saw Darious Williams leave for the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency.
With a revamped secondary, Los Angeles’ defense looks solid once again and that should help them in their bid to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
