The Los Angeles Rams suffered their first loss of the 2018 NFL season. However, Todd Gurley still managed to make history.
Gurley has made a habit of finding the end zone over the last two seasons. It only took one possession for him to do it once again versus the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL:

According to Rams, Gurley set the franchise record for most consecutive games with a touchdown:

This is just the latest in a long line of records Gurley can potentially break in this high-powered offense. He surpassed Elroy “Crazylegs” Hirsch’s mark of 11 games between 1950 and 1951. Gurley’s streak began back in Week 14 of the 2017 campaign versus the Philadelphia Eagles. He has since remained as one of the most dominant players in the league and quite the fantasy football commodity.
Gurley has somehow managed to follow up with an even better 2018 campaign. He has registered 868 yards and 12 touchdowns on 182 carries through nine games this season. He has also tacked on 37 receptions for 362 yards and four touchdowns. More importantly, his production is a solid indicator of the Rams’ success. Los Angeles currently leads the league in total offense with 447.1 yards per game and third in points per game with 33.2. It is safe to say that Gurley is the motor that drives one of the best groups in the NFL.
However, his nose for the end zone puts him well on track to potentially pursue the NFL’s record for consecutive games with a touchdown. The title is currently held by LaDainian Tomlinson and Lenny Moore, who both managed to score in 18 straight games.
