Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley has bounced back nicely so far in the 2017 NFL season after a nightmare sophomore campaign. He has thrived so far in head coach Sean McVay’s system and has already shown off his prowess as a playmaker

However, after a slow start versus the Indianapolis Colts, NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger was quick to bash Gurley’s Week 1 performance, citing his ‘lack of explosion’ as the cause.

One week, two players hurdled, and 138 all-purpose yards later, Baldinger was quick to change his opinion on Gurley’s explosiveness — and the former Offensive Rookie of the Year was quick to not let him forget it on his Twitter.

Gurley almost helped spur a Rams comeback late in the fourth quarter, but they could not get it done. He nonetheless played an outstanding game and finished with two touchdowns — one on the ground and the other through the air. However, that is not to say he played a perfect game.

Gurley had two fumbles against the Redskins — one of which he lost that led to a Washington field goal. Fortunately, fumbling has not really been much of an issue for him in the past, so it should be of little concern moving forward.
