The Los Angeles Rams are on the verge of staking their claim as NFC West champs with their blowout victory over the division rival Seattle Seahawks. Furthermore, they have established themselves as one of the best teams in the league with their bevy of talent in all aspects of the game.

That said, it should come as no surprise that the Rams will be well-represented at the 2018 Pro Bowl. Among the notable selections that Los Angeles announced on their official Twitter were running back Todd Gurley and defensive tackle Aaron Donald:

Head coach Sean McVay had high praise for his players and was even sure to credit the unit as a whole, according to Rams reporter Kristen Lago:

“The presence of five of our players on the Pro Bowl roster is a testament to the collective effort of our football team,” Sean McVay said. “While we emphasize football as a team sport, we appreciate their individual contributions to our overall success. We’re extremely proud of them, and it’s great to see other players, coaches and fans recognize their achievements as well.”

Needless to say, this has become an annual event for Donald and punter Johnny Hekker who are both headed to their fourth Pro Bowl. Meanwhile, Gurley found himself among the unanimous selections after a year-long hiatus under the Jeff Fisher regime.

Meanwhile, the Rams other specialists in kicker Greg Zuerlein and kick/punt returner Pharoh Cooper have been far and away the best at their position for the entire 2017 NFL season. While it is nice to see Los Angeles have this many Pro Bowl selections since 2003, the team likely has its eyes set on a different type of bowl game this year.
