The Los Angeles Rams have been fortunate enough to keep all their stars healthy so far this season, although they have had some other players miss time due to injury.

Most of those injuries have come on the defensive side of the ball with Darious Williams notably missing the last three games with an ankle injury, although the expectation is he will return to action this week. Justin Hollins was also in the midst of a productive season before going down with a torn pectoral muscle that will keep him out until December or January.

Hollins isn’t the only key Rams defensive player to go down with a pec injury as the same can be said for Sebastian Joseph-Day. The nose tackle missed the Week 8 win due to the injury although was supposed to return this week. That is no longer happening though as he suffered a setback and now will be forced to undergo surgery that will keep him out a significant amount of time. via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

This is obviously unfortunate news for the Rams as Joseph-Day was in the midst of a very strong season, recording 38 total tackles and three sacks in seven games. He’s in a contract year so this is unfortunate news for him as well.

It remains to be seen how long Joseph-Day will be out, but he was placed on IR in order to free up a roster spot. In his absence, Greg Gaines should continue to start with A’Shawn Robinson seeing an uptick in playing time as well. Both have played well this season when they have seen the field.

The Rams, of course, also just added Von Miller via trade so that should help with their overall pass rush, even if it’s coming from the outside.
